Passed Up for Promotion? 8 What To Do Next Ideas

If you have already lifted yourself up from the floor, dusted yourself off and wiped those crocodile tears from your face, I think the following ideas will keep you in the running for another promotion that is just around the bend.

That promotion should have been yours, right? You have earned it, right? You deserve to have it, right? The person that selected is okay, but you would have done a much better job, isn't that correct? If all of those questions are true, then you have to fully accept that the position was given to someone else. But, that is okay.No sleepless nights are needed here. Part of the healing is in accepting what has just taken place. You need closure on this one of many events in your life.

Now, the only direction that is needed is in the upward position, and the sky is the limit, right? One of the best slogans to have is to aim for the moon, and hit a high flying eagle. It is much better than aiming for the eagle and hitting a hill.

Idea number 1. It is time to set up an action plan(s) on what to do next. Get your organizational skills ready for some tryouts.

Idea number 2. Begin to read and subscribe to all the magazines, journals and other publications that pertain to the job you want, or the area you want to spend quality time doing.

Idea number 3. In the social arena help the person that caught your job as much as possible. In fact, be his or her best co-worker. Learn from this individual. Because, if he or she is really that good to defeat you, they will not be at that position for long. There will be other opportunities for that person. Once you accept where you are with all intentions to get out of there, the universal mind and all that we understand of the Intelligence things must change. You have a lot of history at this company and deserve a much better life. Now, if the person is clocking in about the same time as you there is still room for growth on your part and you can learn much.

Idea number 4. Do what you can to be indispensable. Be an active member, be a team player. Make sure you do some soul searching and find out why they gave this person the position. Is it something that you lacked? What was that lack? Improve on that lack. Take classes. Get licenses where needed. Enroll in specialized good management planning and powerful self-improvement classes.

Idea number 5. Play with reality and seek other positions that are similar to the one that you lost. There is nothing like competition. When is the best time to look for a job? When you already have one.

Idea number 6. Empower yourself with mental dynamics and how to influence people. You have to get a sales plan together, and the sales product is you. Sharpen up your resume. Change your company business car, if possible. That is find out what works in the real world.

Idea number 7. Become a problem solver. That can be done by taking some pretty advance classes on problem solving, or you can take a mind mapping class and get it done almost immediately.

Idea number 8. This is one of my favorites. Learn how to read at the amazing speed rate of 25,000wpm. Then do major research in your field. You will be able to read hundreds of books. Become an immediate expert. Write articles and books. Start giving public speeches. This will really change your life in a short time.
