Tweeting Your Way To Happiness

How do you begin?

What's the secret?

What do I set up?

Where do I begin with the research?

Would anybody even be interested in what I want to sell?

Now, these are just a few questions that began to spin around in my mind right, when I finally decided to take that huge step and start my own business. Once the questions in my mind started, I didn't know how to make them stop. They became a snowball and it literally started rolling but one layer of snow on that snowball was about one certain topic, "Will anybody even care about what I'm selling?"

Out of all the questions that left me the most bewildered. I planned on marketing a cute product and I just assumed that people (especially cat lovers) would find them appealing. But how did I know for sure, cats were everywhere. If you see one cat, you've seen them all. My idea was original, in a sense, but still the doubts were making me squirm.

Obviously, these aren't the days of newsboys yelling, "EXTRA! EXTRA!" Even if someone did do that, I'm sure others would find that behaviour kind of strange. That's what I needed though a way to scream, "EXTRA! EXTRA!" But how do I find it? Finally, it hit me.

Welcome to Twitter.

Yes, I jump on the bandwagon with some of this stuff very late. Twitter never really interested me and I wasn't sure if I wanted to do it. However, anyone doing the research knows that any business is on Twitter and even Facebook. There's no reason to explain the motivation, it just made common sense, just like it made sense for me to try Twitter.

Twitter is a place of instant fascination, head scratching, and even amazement but I don't have to go on and on. Everyone knows all of this already. I was alike a little kid though, when I went on there for the first time, my eyes bulged at the breaking news and the celebrities that would pop up. I couldn't believe that athletes could be on there during a game and how executives spilled team business on there with no problem.

Now, I thought if they can do it- why not me? I could make everyone in America know what I was doing.

But guess what, it was tougher than what I thought.

I didn't get the hits on the site, like I wanted, I didn't get any email asking me about my product. I grew discouraged but I started tweeting-

And what I have learned?

I've learned it's tougher than what I thought.

But I'm learning and the most important thing I've learned is that you can't stop and-

you pretty much have to tweet with everyone.

Find an interest, search those with your kind of identity out joke around some, tell a good story and from there- well

It's all about going up right?

I think I may Tweet that now.
