How to Do Exceptional Work After Major Surgery
You have just returned or intend to return to work after major surgery. Every part of you says that you cannot do a 40 hour work week. If you do not, you would have to face disability or be laid off options. In this economy that would be the worst ever.
You love your job and you love the people you work with. The job had been easy for you before the surgery, but with the slowdown in your movements and slow walking pace much has changed.
The following tips may work better than you ever imagined, and you will be able to turn around any problems.
Tip one. When you were born you were given multiple intelligences and five of them you know very well. It is suggested that you revisit your sense of hearing, taste, touch, sight and smell. Lean on these senses and use them when you are working and doing your day by day chores.
Tip two Plan your day. Do not leave your house without having planned your action steps. When you arrive at work know exactly what you have to do that day. This will relieve the problem of stress and tension and overdue pressures.
Tip three. When you are faced with a company problem or job situation use your visualization powers and imagine the end result. If you can take the problem home, relax and ask yourself for the answers just before your go to sleep.
Tip four. For the first couple of weeks, you will not be expected to compete at full force with your co-workers, nor the competition in general. However, after that period or a little longer you will be expected to function almost at 100%. But as you do the other tips you will be ready for anything.
Tip five. Write down your action plans, write down your goals for this year and for the next five.
Tip six. Take good notes when it comes to your thoughts of the day. Purchase a phone that you can record your ideas. It is much faster than writing once you get started.
Tip seven. Take advantage of the newest technology and buy all the toys that you can afford. Use especially the internet and all the computer services.
Tip eight. "Never give up," as Winston Churchill stated in his wartime speeches. It is too easy to do so. There is more energy in giving up and doing absolutely nothing. It is harder to be homeless than people can imagine.
Tip Nine. Consider a wonderful method called mind mapping. It is the latest in brainstorming and idea problem solving.
Tip ten. Make sure you have a support group. Learn from people who have had similar surgery and those who have done extremely well. There might be such a service at the hospital.
Tip eleven. If you are a religious person, seek out a better and greater advice according to your belief in a higher authority.
Tip twelve. Surround yourself with good musical and spoken word recordings.
Tip thirteen. Review any health and physical workout plans and act accordingly.
