I can no longer keep count of the various message boards, forums and opinions of friends and family that are adamant that Incentivized Freebie Websites (IFWs) are scams. The really interesting thing here is, if you asked them what exactly an IFW is they couldn't tell you. You see its common practice for people to attack what they don't understand. The biggest obstacle to marketing products or a service is educating your target audience. So at this point let me do some educating.

So let's start with what are Incentivized Freebie Websites? Well, in a nutshell it's nothing more than another form of marketing. That's it! Basically, you have merchants that are trying to generate consumer traffic for their products. These merchants work with 3rd parties (IFWs) to help generate the traffic they need to promote their products. The merchants compensate the IFW for the traffic and the IFW rewards the consumer with free gifts or cash for their participation. IFWs work closely with Traders who use forums and websites to promote the offers for the IFWs. The Traders typically share a portion of their compensation from the IFW site to individuals who complete the offers (referrals). Many of the trial offers that are advertised on the IFW sites are free or deeply discounted.

Ok, so at this point you may be wondering what's in it for you? Well for starters, it's one of the easiest ways to make some extra income from home. There are no startup costs and the only requirement is that you educate yourself on the whole process. There are plenty of trader websites and IFW forums available where you can find obtain more information.

Lastly, I'd like to discuss profit potential. For starters this system is not a get rich quick scheme. If that's your objective then you may want to look elsewhere. Can you consistently make anywhere from a couple of hundred to thousands of dollars a month? Of course you can. I've seen it done time and time again. It really comes down to you and how much effort you put into it. Completing referrals for other seasoned traders is a way to learn the business. You can typically make anywhere from $20 to $80 per referral you complete depending on the agreement you have with the individual you are referring for.

If you are interested in getting started a couple of things there's a couple of things you will need:

• A PayPal account (To receive payment)

• A Debit or Credit card (For signing up for trial offers)

Once you've completed a few offers (referrals) you will have a better understanding of the process and what it takes to succeed. At that point you can move on to promoting your own referral links. Promoting your own referral links will take some time and effort, but with proper marketing you will be on your way to generating a steady monthly income.
